Tulle and thread
This is a series of ten shirts I fabricated based on accounts of Mexican immigrants. Many immigrants who die crossing the border are identified by shards of the shirts they were wearing. These shirts are made of tulle, which is a common wedding veil material. A border should be like a marriage between two places. The shirts are more like x-rays most visible only by their seem line.
